Beasiswa Pemerintah Jepang untuk Guru

Kedutaan Besar Jepang menawarkan beasiswa pemerintah Jepang (Monbukagakusho) bagi para guru Indonesia. Program ini terbuka untuk guru yang ingin memperdalam bidangnya sebagai mahasiswa program penataran guru nongelar selama 1,5 tahun mulai Oktober 2012.

Peserta yang bisa mendaftar haruslah berusia di bawah 35 tahun pada 1 April 2012, lulus S-1 atau D-4 dan guru SD-SMA di sekolah negeri dan swasta. Guru yang berhak mendaftar harus mengajar lebih dari lima tahun di lembaga pendidikan formal.

Beasiswa Pemerintah Jepang (MONBUKAGAKUSHO) Untuk Program Teacher Training (Penataran Guru)

Program Penataran Guru (Teacher Training Program) adalah salah satu program beasiswa Pemerintah Jepang (Monbukagakusho) yang dirancang khusus bagi para guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran sesuai dengan bidangnya. Mereka akan diberikan pelatihan dalam cara mengajar, pembuatan rencana belajar-mengajar yang lebih efektif dan menarik minat siswa dan hal-hal lain yang dapat mengingkatkan kualitas dan kemampuan para guru. Program ini adalah program non-gelar dan lamanya adalah 1 tahun 6 bulan (termasuk 6 bulan belajar bahasa Jepang) dari Oktober 2012.

PERSYARATAN

1. Lulusan S-1 atau D-4 dan guru yang mengajar secara aktif di SD, SLTP, SLTA (termasuk sekolah swasta dan SMK).
2. Pelamar telah mengajar lebih dari 5 tahun di lembaga pendidikan formal pada tanggal 1 April 2012. Semua bidang ditawarkan kecuali, bahasa Indonesia, bahasa daerah, bahasa Arab, pendidikan agama dan perhotelan.
3. Usia di bawah 35 tahun pada tanggal 1 April 2012.
4. Sehat jasmani dan rohani. (bagi pelamar wanita tidak diperbolehkan dalam kondisi hamil)
5. Bersedia belajar bahasa Jepang karena bahasa pengantar di universitas adalah bahasa Jepang.

FASILITAS YANG DIDAPAT

1. Tanpa ikatan dinas.
2. Tiket kelas ekonomi p.p. Indonesia (Jakarta) – Jepang.
3. Bebas biaya ujian masuk, biaya kuliah, dan uang pendaftaran.
4. Tunjangan bulanan sebesar ¥ 152.000 per bulan (ada kemungkinan mengalami perubahan).
5. Peserta disediakan asrama yang pembayarannya diatur sendiri oleh penerima beasiswa.

CARA PELAMARAN

1. Pendaftaran dibuka pada 7 November 2011 dan ditutup pada 27 Januari 2012.
2. Bagi pelamar, baik pegawai negeri maupun swasta dapat langsung menyerahkan/mengirimkan formulir yang telah diisi ke Bagian Pendidikan Kedutaan Besar Jepang dengan dilampiri dokumen yang diperlukan.
3. Bagi pelamar yang berstatus pegawai negeri tetap harus melapor dan menyerahkan fotokopi formulir kepada Biro Kerjasama Luar Negeri (BKLN) Kementrian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Nasional.

TAHAP PENYELEKSIAN

1. Ujian tertulis bahasa Inggris (khusus untuk guru bahasa Jepang: ujian bahasa Jepang) pada tanggal13 Februari 2012.
2. Bagi yang lulus ujian tertulis akan dipanggil untuk mengikuti wawancara di Jakarta.
3. Bagi yang lulus wawancara akan direkomendasikan ke Monbukagakusho.
4. Mereka yang lolos seleksi di Monbukagakusho akan menjadi penerima beasiswa.

Japanese Urological Association (JUA) International Foundation Scholarship for Young Asian Urologists

2012 Japanese Urological Association (JUA) International Foundation Scholarship for Young Asian Urologists

The Japanese Urological Association International Foundation provides young urologists in Asian countries with support to observe surgeries/procedures, as well as attend clinics and staff activities in Japan for 2 to 3 months. This program supports both urological and endourological training. Scholars with no previous or current training in Japanese institutions are eligible. As part of the program, the JUA provides complimentary membership for the scholars to attend meetings organized by the JUA, and also issues certification to scholars on completion of the program.

Eligibility

• Less than 40 years of age.
• M.D. degree together with more than 3 years of clinical experiences in home country.
• Completion of the application process, including a letter of recommendation from the department chair and the president of the relevant national urological society of the scholar.
• Purchase of medical insurance for the stay in Japan.

Number of scholars: 7 per year

Amount of Scholarship: JPY 700,000 in total for each scholar paid by installment, including up to JPY 250,000 for travel.

Other requirements

• Applications must be submitted by the 25th December of each year. You will receive an acknowledgement within a week. If not, please do contact us by Email.
• The JUA will determine a host institution based on each scholar’s area(s) of expertise. Applicants can suggest names of institutions where he or she would like to receive training.
• The time and length of each scholar’s stay up to 3 months from April to December can be arranged by the scholar together with the chair of the hosting institution, but possible extension of the program is not supported by the JUA.
• Scholars who currently or previously trained in Japan are ineligible.
• Report must be submitted to JUA before returning home.
• Copies of passport, receipt for international flights and receipt or description for carfare from Narita International Airport to the host institution must be submitted to the JUA at the time of their visit. The medical insurance card will be provided by the JUA.

Fujitsu Scholarship, East-West Knowledge Leaders Program, Hawaii USA

The Fujitsu Scholarship supports your development as a global leader by funding your participation in the East-West Knowledge Leaders Program.

Fujitsu Limited established the Fujitsu Scholarship Program in 1985 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its founding. The aim was to provide the opportunity for people from the Asia-Pacific region to contribute to the region through studying different values, cultures, and global business. This has been a Fujitsu’s key initiative for deepening the relationships between the countries and citizens of the Asia-Pacific region. This scholarship has since enabled 420 professionals from 18 countries to study cross-cultural management at JAIMS, the Japan-America Institute of Management Science, in Hawaii, U.S.A.

The Fujitsu Scholarship provides full financial assistance for postgraduate education and cross-cultural management training in the East-West Knowledge Leaders Program (EWKLP) at JAIMS. The EWKLP has a three-month curriculum, which synthesizes the best practices of both the East and West. The participants will sharpen their global management knowledge and skills, and build the confidence necessary for success in global business situations. Selected Fujitsu Scholar will attend the EWKLP beginning in April 2012, followed by a week-long Japan Portion.

Qualifications
To apply for the Fujitsu Scholarship, you must meet the qualifications for both Fujitsu Scholarship and EWKLP as follows.

1. Education
A bachelor’s degree or a degree equivalent to a four-year standard baccalaureate degree in any discipline from a regionally or nationally accredited institution

2. G.P.A.
Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

3. Experience
A minimum of three years of relevant full-time work experience (five years preferred) at the time of application

4. Language
A minimum TOEFL score of 577/233/90 (paper/computer/Internet), TOEIC score of 750, or IELTS overall band test result of 6.5 or higher from tests taken between December 2009 and November 2011.

The following applicants are exempt from submitting an English proficiency test score:

• Applicants whose native language is English and who are from either the United States, Australia,United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada, or Singapore.
• Applicants who hold a bachelor’s or advanced degree within the last five years from an accredited or recognized college or university in the United States, Australia, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada, or Singapore.

5. Country
Applicants must be a resident of the state of Hawaii, U.S.A., or a citizen of one of the following countries: Australia, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam.

• Applicants who are residents of the State of Hawaii will be requested to prove Hawaii residency.

Scholarship benefits and conditions
Benefits
The Fujitsu Scholarship benefits include tuition and fees for the EWKLP program. Other benefits, which vary in amount each year, are also included.

• Stipend Toward Living Expenses *
  *Applicants from the following countries/areas are not eligible to receive the monthly stipend: Australia, Hawaii, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan.
• Airfare:
  Fujitsu Ltd. will provide a round-trip air ticket to cover transportation from the participant’s home country to Honolulu, and back. The selection of the air carrier and travel agent, including itinerary, is at the discretion of Fujitsu Ltd. In the event the participant wishes to change and/or expand the route and/or the period of stay, Fujitsu Ltd. reserves the right to withhold the original ticket.
• Health Insurance:
  Fujitsu Ltd. will provide medical insurance that covers a portion of the participant’s medical expenses during the program period. The participant pays all medical expenses not covered by the medical insurance. The selection of the medical insurance plan is at the discretion of Fujitsu Ltd.
• Housing Arrangements:
  JAIMS will assist in locating appropriate housing in Honolulu for all participants. Fujitsu Ltd. will provide and pay for participant accommodations in Japan.
• Visa Arrangements:
  When applicable, participants will be assisted in obtaining the F-1 Student visa to enter the U.S. EWKLP participants will be assisted with the appropriate visa to enter Japan, if necessary. The expense of obtaining the visa is the financial responsibility of the participant.

Conditions
The Fujitsu Scholarship is offered with the expectation that the following conditions will be met by the recipients.

Scholarship Report
Upon EWKLP completion, all participants must submit a formal report that describes their learning experiences during the program.

Absence During the Fujitsu Scholarship Period

1. Should an emergency occur that requires travel to the participant’s home country, such travel shall be the participant’s personal expense. For the period of absence, the stipend will be prorated and subtracted from the applicable amount(s) set forth in the stipend toward living expenses.
2. All requests for absence should be submitted in writing to Fujitsu Ltd. (through JAIMS while in Hawaii) in advance, and should be addressed to the Fujitsu Scholarship Program in Japan.

Fujitsu Scholarship Termination
All selected scholars are required to participate in good faith, work diligently, and complete the EWKLP during the program period. Selected Fujitsu Scholars must understand and agree that any serious misconduct in this regard shall warrant immediate termination of the Fujitsu Scholarship without notice and at Fujitsu’s sole discretion. The following are some examples of misconduct that could result in such termination:

1. Absence from or failure to complete the EWKLP without Fujitsu’s or JAIMS’ permission.
2. Noncompliance with the regulations, policies, and other instructions of Fujitsu and/or JAIMS.
3. Immoral, disorderly, indecent, or violent conduct.
4. Falsification of, or misstatement in any student or program application or other records and/or at any interview.
5. Failure to maintain good academic standing; unsatisfactory work performance.

If Fujitsu terminates the Fujitsu Scholarship for the participant pursuant to the above, the participant shall return to his/her home country immediately. The participant shall inform Fujitsu and/or JAIMS in advance of the date of his/her return and the address and phone number in his/her home country after return. The participant agrees that, effective as of the termination date, Fujitsu shall have no obligation to pay or provide anything under the Fujitsu Scholarship to the participant. Nonetheless, Fujitsu may at its sole discretion provide the participant with the appropriate air ticket for his/her return.

The participant agrees that if his/her conduct which has resulted in termination of the Fujitsu Scholarship pursuant to the above, in Fujitsu’s sole judgment, was made fraudulently, with malice or conscious disregard or otherwise in bad faith, the participant shall, upon Fujitsu’s request, immediately refund all the benefits and awards paid by Fujitsu and/or JAIMS hereunder to, or on behalf of him/her, to the date of the termination.

Selection Process
1. Initial Screening
Initial screening is based on the strength of the application, which includes meeting the admission qualifications.

2. Interview
Applicants who pass the initial screening will be contacted for an interview at a designated date in December 2011. Applicants should be residing in their respective countries of citizenship (or in Hawaii for Hawaii residents) at the time of their interview.

3. Selection of recipients

1. Final selection will be determined by Fujitsu Limited.
2. Selection is based on English proficiency (for non-native speakers of English), work experience, motivation, goals as expressed in the essay and interview, academic performance, and test scores. A key factor is the individual’s commitment to contributing to the mutual understanding and cooperation between countries and to the development of his/her home country. However, no single attribute outweighs others in the selection process, and strengths in one area may be used to offset weaknesses in another.
